Health Canada has issued a consumer product recall on May 9th, 2016, on Joe Fresh boys swimsuits. Info provided on The Government of Canada's 'Healthy Canadians' website states, "Skin can get caught in the mesh lining of the swimsuits posing a pinching and injury hazard," and that "the swimsuits were sold between Nov. 2013, and April 2016."
On April 22, 2016, Loblaws Company Limited voluntarily recalled their Joe Fresh line of boys swimwear that was sold from November 2013 on, stating "there is a potential risk of injury to the skin due to the mesh liner."
Approximately 385,000 units of the recalled swimsuits were sold at Loblaw Companies Limited banner stores across Canada. If you have one of the affected swimsuits, you are requested to stop using it immediately. You may bring your product back to any Loblaws Company Limited store selling Joe Fresh clothing, for a full refund. No receipt is required.
For further information, contact Loblaws Canada Limited at 1-888-495-5111, between the hours of 8:30 - 5:00 p.m. EST.
Did you find one of these swimsuits in your drawers? Make sure to have a thorough look through summer items you may not have pulled out of storage just yet.
YES! I do have one of those swimsuits for my son. Now it's going back to Joe Fresh!
