Okay, this has to be one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time! NASA is inviting people around the world to send their names to the sun – and you can submit yours for FREE!
This summer, NASA will launch the Parker Solar Probe, which will travel through the sun's atmosphere, and your name can go along for the ride in a microchip onboard the probe!
To send your name to the sun, all you need to do is head to the Parker Solar Probe website and fill out a quick form with your first name, last name and email address. You'll then receive an email with instructions to complete the submission process.
And seriously, how awesome is this?! It isn't every day you get to send something to the SUN!
"This probe will journey to a region humanity has never explored before," Thomas Zurbuchen, a NASA spokesperson says in a release. "This mission will answer questions scientists have sought to uncover for more than six decades."
You can learn more about the Parker Solar Probe mission here.
NASA is accepting name submissions until April 27, 2018. Did you enter yours yet?
