Hedstrom has recalled Sensory Combo Packs because small pieces of foam may be released when mouthed or chewed by an infant which causes a potential choking hazard.
These toys were recently sold at Costco locations across Canada, so I know a lot of our readers will have purchased this item. Approx. 2,570 have been sold to date and they were sold from July 2016 to August 2016. Make sure you pass this info. on to your family and friends who may have purchased these Hedstrom sensory toys.
There have been no reports of any injuries pertaining to this product but there was one report of the separation of small foam pieces.
From the Government of Canada's Healthy Canadians website, here's a description of the product:
The packaging has "Sensory Combo" printed on the front
with a picture of an infant.
It includes 7 items; 3 – 12 sided foam dice, a 6" orange PVC knobby ball, and 3 PVC sensory shaped items (hexagon, diamond, and clover).
The product may be identified by UPC 0-33419-04517-5, the item number 1059395 is printed above the barcode and the product is recommended for infants over 6 months.
