Evenflo Canada has announced a recall on their Evolve Booster Seat! If you have one of these in your car right now, you best keep reading. Evenflo designs their products with safety as their number one priority, and has announced a voluntary recall on select models of their Evolve Booster Seat. Their concern is that some children have been able to access and activate the harness adjustment button with no adult assistance, which can potentially loosen the harness - causing a safety concern for sure.
This recall by Evenflo impacts the the seat when it is in harnessed mode only. The effected Evolve Booster Seats were manufactured before February 9th, 2016 and will have the following model numbers:
- 34411700 (USA)
- 34411741 (USA)
- 34411700C (CANADA)
There have been no injuries reported due to this issue, but there have been complaints of children being able to reach the Harness Adjustment Button which is located just under a plastic shield between the child's legs when they are occupying the seat.
So what do we do now? Evenflo will be providing (for free) a remedy kit that will prevent the child from being able to access the activation button. It will include a replacement hardness adjustment button and installation instructions.
