Well, the thing we've been dreading finally happened. Forever 21 is officially filling for bankruptcy protection, and as part of the process, they plan to close all 44 of their stores across Canada and 168 locations in States.
Some stores in the US, Mexico and Latin America may remain open, Forever 21 representatives said in a release, but all Canadian locations will close their doors for good by the end of the year.
Since all 44 stores in Canada will close, we should see liquidation sales soon. There may also be steep markdowns online – which means we all have one more chance to pick out Christmas gifts and holiday outfits from Forever 21 before everything shuts down. We'll let you know if and when a clearance sale starts.

And they're far from the first store to close their doors this year.
