Bulk Barn will introduce a national reusable container program. Bulk Barn has been trying out a reusable container program in select stores for a few months now but will expand its program to all stores on February 24.
Here are the steps you will need to take if you want to buy Bulk Barn products in your own reusable containers.
Step 1
Verify with a cashier that the container meets Bulk Barn standards for use. The cashier will determine whether the container or bag is:
- is free from chips, cracks, stains, debris, dirt, rust and residual food?
- reusable and designed for food?
- resealable, with a lid, drawstring or clip-closure?
Bulk Barn reserves the right to reject any containers that do not meet minimum standards. Paper and plastic bags are not acceptable for reuse.
Step 2
The cashier will tare the weight of the clean container so you are not charged for the weight of the container and only the weight of the product you are purchasing.
Step 3
Use the provided scoops to fill your containers. Once product is scooped into a reusable container it is final sale and cannot be reintroduced to the Bulk Barn barrels or tubs.
Step 4
The cashier will process your purchase at checkout.
I double dare you to make your way out of Bulk Barn without any yummy candy in your reusable containers.
