What's becoming known as the retail apocalypse has claimed another victim. Earlier this year, Montreal-based company Bentley Leathers applied to restructure their operations after dealing with financial issues. After navigating the resulting court proceedings, they reached an agreement – and it involves closing stores.
About 90 underperforming locations in Canada will shut their doors. That still leaves around 163 bag, luggage and accessory stores across the country, but I can't tell you exactly which ones will soon be gone. I also haven't seen closure dates, but I do know that one store near me has had clearance banners up for months.
We'll keep you updated if and when we hear more, but I expect we could see some kind of blowout sales, especially at the closing locations. In the meantime, though, almost everything on their website is 30% off when you enter the code GIFT30 at checkout – so I'd take a look if you plan to take a trip soon.
Additionally, they now sell sustainable bags, like this Tracker Eco-Friendly 24" Softside Luggage that's partially made from recycled plastic bottles. Shipping is free when you spend at least $49.
I mean they lasted about 10 years longer than I would’ve thought ♀️
That's the only store I can find a budget friendly, trendy handbag.
I'm not surprised.
Margriet Banninga Smit right?
