I am always on the lookout for fun and frugal ideas for the kids in the summer, and I saw this one on Pinterest. It’s a DIYsprinkler! You can buy this type of thing in Toys R Us but it will cost you a bit, and probably break after one season anyway.
Here’s how you use a couple of common household items to make your own! Depending on what ages your kids are, they could even make this one themselves. Simply get an empty 2 litre bottle, punch/drill some holes in it, and attach it to the hose with duct tape.
There you go – hours of fun for the kids in the garden. And the cost? Zero.
While they're out there, maybe try out some of these DIY popsicle and ice-cream recipes.
