Mmmm Peanut Butter Cookies. Who could resist? Now you won't have to! There is a super simple recipe to make Peanut Butter Cookies that only requires 3 ingredients, and if you have peanut allergies then you can substitute the peanut butter with the popular peanut-free butter and still get yummy cookies. I believe there is a brand of it called Wow Butter, but I am sure there are plenty of alternatives and you may already have a favourite. Nobody has to be left out of peanut butter cookies anymore. Chances are you already have these three ingredients around your house, so not only are these cookies super simple but they are also super affordabe. I just adore that combination.
So to get started on your 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies, you're going to need to gather your ingredients. Here is what you're going to need:
- 1 cup peanut butter (if you have peanut allergies then you are going to want to use Wow Butter or another similar alternative instead)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
Once you have your ingredients gathered, head on over to your oven and set it to preheat at 325°F. Then you are going to want to mix all of your ingredients (yes, all 3 of them) really well in a bowl. I find it easiest to use a large spoon to mix the dough around until it is really well blended.
Then you can take the mixture and roll it into small balls about an inch in diameter. You should get approximately 24 balls out of this recipe, but sometimes I get a little less or a little more. You are going to want to place each ball on your baking sheets while making sure that they are all 4 inches apart. Then take a fork or spoon and flatten each peanut butter cookie ball.
You are going to want to bake your 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies for about 20 minutes, or until they are lightly browned. Keep a close eye on them because these babies tend to burn quickly, and each oven is very different. Once the cookies are done baking, take them out and let them cool for 5 or 10 minutes on a wire rack. Don't remove them from the baking sheet right away though, or they may crumble a little bit. Do not eat them until they have cooled!
What I love about this recipe is that is it simple enough that the kids can help out for sure. You also won't look at baking these cookies like a chore, since the ingredient list is so simple. To boot, these cookies won't cost you a fortune to make either. Last Christmas I did up little bundles of these in cute baggies for gifts.
I'll try these out - Thanks for the recipe! ^_^
