After a long wait, it's here! Earlier this year, Costco announced plans to introduce online grocery delivery in Canada, and they just rolled out the service in southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.
But before you try it for yourself, we did a little of the digging to find out what you absolutely need to know about buying groceries online from Costco.
The new service, called Costco Grocery Delivery, lets Costco members buy non-perishable food items and household supplies (including Kirkland Signature products) online and have them delivered right to their door.
Costco Canada guarantees delivery within two days (on most items), and delivery is free on orders over $75.

MONEY-SAVING TIP: If you want to try Costco online grocery, spend at least $75 when you place an order. Grocery purchases under $75 are subject to a $3 delivery surcharge per item – but they waive delivery fees for orders over $75. So really, it's better for those bigger grocery shops (not when you need one or two items).

Will I save more money if I shop at a Costco warehouse?
For now, it looks like the answer is YES. Grocery delivery prices are higher than what you'll see in stores, because of how much it costs for Costco to package and then deliver the groceries to you. It's also worth noting that there is a $3 delivery surcharge per item on grocery orders under $75 – which can add up pretty quickly.
Which items qualify for two-day delivery?
Once you're on the Grocery page, just scroll down until you see the 2-Day Delivery category (or select it from the site menu drop-down). Everything in this section (and tagged with the 2-day delivery icon) should qualify.
Why can't I see the Grocery category on Costco.ca?
Right now, Costco Canada only offers grocery delivery in southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. So if you enter a postal code from outside these regions (or have the webpage set to a province other than Ontario), you won't be able to view the grocery department. They're planning to expand their delivery zones, though, so you might be able to order groceries online in your area soon!
