In the summer, the last thing I want to do is spend all day in a grocery store. So why not get your shopping done poolside, while you're lounging in the backyard or right before you go to bed?
If you still haven't tried Provigo Online Grocery, consider this your official invitation to give it a shot. You may know the program better at Provigo Click and Collect, but it's all the same thing: an easier way for you to buy your groceries.
Privigo breaks the whole process down into three pretty simple steps:
- 1. You choose and pay for your groceries online
- 2. Provigo employees pick and pack everything for you
- 3. You show up at a PC Express location and drive away with your groceries!
And if that isn't enough to convince you, remember that with Provigo Online Grocery, you can shop anytime and from anywhere you want. Just because the store is closed doesn't mean you can't fill your cart!
You also get to choose where and when you pick up your groceries. So when your order is ready, all you need to do is show up, and Provigo employees will load everything into your car (which means you don't even need to go in the store).
So where can you try this out? You can search the Provigo Store Locator for participating stores in your area before you start shopping.
How to place your online grocery order
Create an account. Before you get started, you'll need to have a PC id, which is a single login you can use to access different Loblaw-owned websites. To create an account, enter your name, email address, phone number and postal code and choose a password. Make sure you pick an email you check often, because Provigo will send you deals!
Go shopping! Here's the fun part. Once you have an account, make sure you're signed in and start choosing groceries, just like you would at the store. You can browse products by aisle or head to the Provigo Cart Starter, where you'll find curated shopping lists to choose from.
Pay for your order at checkout. When you go to check out, Provigo will ask you to choose a pickup time and location. Once you've selected those, enter any promo codes you have and pay for your order. Remember, you need to place your order at least two hours before your chosen pickup time.
Make the call. If you can't or don't want to shop online, you can place a grocery order over the phone by calling 1-800-296-2332.
Changing your order. If you change your mind about something or want to add more items to your order, you can edit your cart before the designated cut-off time.
Picking up your order at PC Express
How to pick up your order. This part is pretty simple. Arrive at your chosen Provigo location at the time you selected and pull into one of the PC Expressparking spaces. Provigo employees will load everything into the car for you, so you can just sit back and relax!
Are there any pickup fees?If you're wondering how much online grocery costs, it doesn't even come close to breaking the bank. Fees vary based on the time slot you choose but will usually only cost you $3 of $5. And if you want to try and save a little extra on your next order, check out our advice below!
How to save money on your groceries
If you shop online with Provigo, you still get all the same deals and discounts that you would if you picked up your groceries in-store – including any sales in their flyer! However, there are a few ways shopping online is even better for your wallet.
Get the new customer discount. If you're a first-time Provigo Online Grocery customer, you can use the code FREEMONTH at checkout when you place your first order (of at least $30). If you do, they'll waive your pickup fees for a month!
Use your PC Optimum card. If your PC Optimum account is linked to the PC id you use to buy groceries online, you can earn and redeem PC Optimum points as you shop! To get points on your online orders, just show your physical card or the digital one on your app to the concierge at pickup. And if you're not a PC Optimum member, you can still sign up!
Look for Provigo coupons. You know the drill. It's always a good idea to check for Provigo promo codes before you place an order.
Speak up if your items aren't fresh. Provigo employees will try their best to choose the best products for you, but if something isn't up to standard, you might be able to return it. You can see the full Provigo return policy on their website.
