Calling all Potterheads! While you might still be waiting for your Hogwarts letter, there's now a way for you to experience at least part of the wizarding world. Remember the Cloak of Invisibility that James (through Dumbledore) passed down to Harry? Well, now it's your turn to take it for a spin.
That's right. Invisibility cloaks are REAL. And while these might not be one of the three Deathly Hallows, I'll tell you one thing: these magical cloaks will actually make you disappear!
Okay, okay. I know that sounds a little far-fetched, but these are pretty incredible. WOW Stuff! – the company behind the Harry Potter Wingardium Leviosa Kit that can help you make a feather fly – really outdid themselves here. They created three Invisibility Cloak kits to help you create one cool illusion.
The WOW Stuff! Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak ($79.99) appears to make you disappear. Just put it on and download the free WOW Stuff! app. Then, photograph or film yourself (or your pet or anything else) while wearing the cloak. You won't believe what the app will do next. You can even recreate scenes from the movies!
There's even a Deluxe Version (exclusive to Chapter Indigo) that sells for $99.95 and includes everything you need to create a little extra movie magic – like a tabletop tripod to help you get the perfect shot.
But if you really want to kick things up a notch, the Deathly Hallows Invisibility Cloak Playset comes with all three Deathly Hallows. For $149.95, you can become the Master of Death and take home the Elder Wand and the Resurrection Stone. It turns out they weren't destroyed after all! Just remember that you'll still show up on the Marauder's Map when you're wearing the cloak – so be careful.
For now, all three sets are available for pre-order, and they're not yet available in stores. I first saw these online at Chapters Indigo, but there's a good chance we'll see them apparate in other stores soon.
