Ready to mix things up for your next girls' night? Whether your book club needs a little more excitement (because let's face it, you're not talking about the books anyway) or you're planning a bachelorette sometime this summer, I might have just found the thing that can get your party started.
For The Girls is a special-edition game from the makers of What Do You Meme? – and it looks like a hoot. This is definitely a way to get to know your girlfriends better and spill a little tea along the way ... if you dare.
This is pretty much the ultimate card game that, yes, you can absolutely turn into a drinking game (but you don't have to). Think of it as an organized way to combine all the pregame activities you're already doing. It's a mix of Truth or Dare, Never Have I Ever and all the random things you might ask your girls before a night out.
The whole point of the game is to collect the most cards by the end, and there are a few different ways to stake your claim. Wimp out of your dare, and you forfeit your card. But keep a Never Have I Ever card if you've actually done the thing. You might want to read the rules when you're still sober, but it seems simple enough!
So far, I've found this game at Chapters, where it sells for $24.95. If you still want to give the original game a whirl, they have What Do You Meme? for $39.95 and even a Mean Girls Expansion Pack for $19.95.
As usual, most orders over $25 will qualify for free home delivery (which means you should probably pick up these Drinking Buddies Glass Markers to go with the game). They'll probably be the only boys invited to the party, and I'm definitely okay with that. You can also ship your order to a store for free.
Right off the bat, the card which says,"How many boys have you slept with" jumps out at me. I think more discretion is needed for your ads! This is NOT A GOOD GAME FOR GIRLS!
To clarify, the makers of this game definitely mean adult women when they say "girls." We absolutely don't think this is for young children, and it's intended for a grownups-only girls' night (which is why we recommended it for books clubs or bachelorettes). Thanks for your feedback, and we'll keep this in mind for future posts!
We've changed our headline to better reflect that (as the box states) this is an adult party game.
