I think it's fair to say that most people think of Black Friday as the best time of year to shop – but it's also one of the best days to score deals on other things, too. And if a vacation, move or business trip is in your future, you might want to check out the Black Friday Seat Sale at WestJet.
I've been waiting a few weeks now for this sale to finally start. I travel pretty frequently, and you really can't beat the deals that show up on and around Black Friday. So what are you waiting for? Get booking!
This year, the WestJet Black Friday Sale includes flights within Canada, as well as flights to destinations in the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. It includes travel dates between now and July 25, 2019 – as long as you book your tickets before 11:59 PM MT on Nov. 23, 2018.
A few general blackout dates do apply (see the list below), and there might be additional blackout dates or restrictions for specific destinations. In general, you're out of luck for discounted fares during holidays. Here's the complete list of 2019 blackout dates that apply to all sale flights:
- February 14, 15, 16, 18
- March 8, 9, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, 31
- April 18, 19, 20, 22
- May 16, 17, 18, 20
If you haven't already heard, WestJet is revamping their rewards program over the next few months and adding a new Platinum tier. You can absolutely still sign up for the program (and you might as well, if you're booking a flight). It's free to sign up for WestJet Rewards, and you can start earning points to use toward future vacations. Might as well save as much as you can moving forward, right?
