Remember Furby? That cute, yet oddball creature that many kids had with them in the late nineties? Well, he's back - and on clearance at WalMart! You can get the latest incarnation of the Furby, known as Furby Boom! at WalMart today for $40 - the regular price is $74.94, so it's almost half of the price! You'll also be able to get free shipping!
In case you don't know, Furbys are little creatures that speak their own "language" (it may sound like gibberish at first, but it's referred to as Furbish. There's even a Furbish dictionary that your child can learn their words from). After spending enough time with a Furby, they eventually start to pick up on English words and phrases, which is pretty cool. In my opinion, they slightly resemble Gizmo from the Gremlins movies (in fact, they even made a Gizmo Furby several years ago).
It's actually a very innovative toy, and this latest version is compatible with iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches. You simply download an app, and just like that, you're provided with even more options for your new Furby Boom! In fact, with these devices you can raise your very own Furblings, which is a really cute option for kids.
I actually had a Furby back in the late nineties (hey, it was only $5 at Liquidation World! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it). My little cousin absolutely loved it, so I gave it to her. I doubt that she plays with it nowadays, but it certainly intrigued her back in the day!
Currently, you can get a Furby Boom! at Sears for $74.99, but you can also get it at Best Buy for $49.95 (only 4 are in stock at the moment). I've listed two brief reviews of the Furby Boom! from satisfied Amazon customers below:
It's lovable. My daughter loves it. Likes the color and how it speaks. I hope this will distract her from getting a real pet.
Fabulous! What more can I say........ Beyond my little girls expectations and as we live internationally the deal was even better...
This item is on clearance, so it may not be in stock for very long. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!
