ThinkGeek is moving on to bigger and better things. On July 2, they will officially move in with GameStop, their parent company. But in the meantime, they need to clear out a TON of their stock.
From now until July, they're holding a Moving Sale, and get this: absolutely everything they sell is now 50% off! Just enter the promo code MOVINGDAY when you check out, and you'll score an extra 50% discount on your entire purchase. It even applies to sale items, and that means you can pick things up from $2.61 CAD!
Anything you've ever seen at ThinkGeek and wanted – it's now on sale. I'm talking about Funko POP! Vinyl figures and all the geeky homewares your heart could desire. For me, that means heading straight to the kitchen department, where they have this freakin' incredible Twin Peaks Ceramic Pie Plate!
And if you know any Harry Potter fans who are tying the knot this summer, you can't go wrong with a gift that just gets them. These He's a Keeper / She's a Catch Hand Towels do just that.
ThinkGeek is still shipping internationally, so you can absolutely place orders to Canadian addresses. Just remember that everything on their site is priced in USD, and shipping is usually an extra $15.95 USD. While they move over to GameStop, all sales are final – so if you're buying clothes, make sure they're the right size.
Still have a few questions about what exactly is happening over at ThinkGeek? We did, too, so we did a little digging and uncovered the answers. Here's what you need to know about the ThinkGeek move:
Is ThinkGeek shutting down?
Never fear, because ThinkGeek will still be here. On July 2, they'll move in with their parent company, GameStop, and start selling merchandise at their stores and through their website. All existing ThinkGeek physical stores throughout the United States will still be open, so you can stop by on your next vacation.
Can I still buy ThinkGeek items in Canada?
Actually, it soon might be even easier to buy ThinkGeek products in Canada. GameStop ships internationally, and they have stores across a few different countries, including Canada, Australia and New Zealand. So what does that mean? Well, you might not have to pay for shipping on ThinkGeek products anymore!
How can I use a ThinkGeek gift card?
In 2017, ThinkGeek changed how you can use their gift cards, so you can already redeem them at GameStop locations and on their site. So if you don't get a chance to use yours before they close up shop, your money isn't wasted. You can still pay for items using ThinkGeek gift cards once they merge with GameStop.
