I use my camera and my smart phone to take pictures all the time. Sometimes those pictures come out a bit blurry because my hands are shaky and I cannot stabalize the camera. Thus, this Nexxtech Tabletop Tripod is a perfect addition to my accessories. With this simple little tripod, I can screw in my phone or my camera to gain stability and height. Originally $9.99, this little tripod is on sale for $4.99. Use coupon codeTS499 to receive free shipping on your order.
This little blue tripod is lightweight, compact, and comes with its own carry case for easy transportation. The top is a simple screw in - screw out top that fits most cameras including DSLR, SLR, and point & click like the Cybershot. I am not sure if this tripod would work on smart phones as they have a different threading - generally smaller - on their bottom. However, you could always buy a smart phone adapter for the tripod.
The height you see is the height you get so your camera will gain a few inches. The main selling point is the increased stability. With three feet firmly planted on your surface, blurry photos are a thing of the past.
I did want to mention another deal you may want to consider. This Nexxtech Tabletop Tripod With Ball Head - Silver is also a steal. Originally $14.99, it is now on sale for $7.96 with free shipping. There are a few advantages to this model. First, it comes with a ball head so you can leave the head attached to your camera. This makes for easy and fast set up and take down.
In addition, this tripod features extendable legs. Each leg has two extendable sections that raise the tripod up to 11.5" high maximum. If you want extra height and ease of use, then this might be a better deal.
I could not find these tripods anywhere else in Canada really. However, the cheapest Tripod at Best Buy retails for $9.99 (+ shipping) and $9.88 at Walmart Canada (out of stock). I figure both these tripods are a great deal for under $10 with free shipping. While it is still July, my head is in December thinking about stocking stuffers. Either of these units would make an excellent stocking stuffer.
