Not just backpack time, it is also new shoe time, too! What really hurts at this time of the year is having to buy my kids two pairs of shoes each! Once my youngest is in school, that will be six pairs of shoes, plus winter boots a month or so later. The Shoe Company is soothing the sting by offering 25% off the second pair of kids or athletic shoes.
This deal doesn't include sale or clearance shoes. I always shop at The Shoe Company for my kids school shoes. I find they have the best selection and a wide price range. They also give Air Miles or their rewards points, and I'm a huge reward collector. I try to buy my kids the better brands for their indoor shoes since they are wearing them all day, five days a week. They need to be comfortable, breathable and still be supportive for gym class. They also need to have non-marking soles, so that they don't wreck the floors. Their outdoor shoes need to be warm for cool fall and spring recesses, as well as waterproof and durable for all that hardcore playing they do.
If I had a girl, these Nike Lunar Forever 2 running shoes would be perfect as outdoor shoes, $69.99. For indoors, she might like these Bobs by Skechers, as they are shiny, easy to slip on and off and would look good with a dress or pants. Was $36.99, but with the first pair, you'll only pay $18.49.
My oldest son actually has these Skechers as his outdoor shoes in orange, and he really likes them. I find Skechers a good overall shoe. I also liked the neon on the shoe because when he played baseball and the kids were unrecognizable in their uniforms, I knew it was him by his neon orange, $43.99. For indoor shoes, I really like Geox as they are very breathable and my oldest gets very sweaty feet like his mama. I am not a big fan of shoes and socks, so I feel sorry that my kids have to wear them all day. These JR Stark Geox were $41.99, now only $20.99 with first pair.
