If you're a parent, nanny or daycare worker, I probably don't have to tell you that getting kids to brush their teeth can be tough. When kiddos are too young to realize that doing so is good for them, how do you convince them to break out the toothpaste? One way might be by making the whole process a little more fun.
I've definitely seen baby toothbrushes like these before (and used them when I was a babysitter), but The Brushies products take things to an entirely new level. Their "Finger Brushies" are basically little sleeves you just pop over your own finger or an older child's. Each one looks just like a finger puppet, with a face opposite the bristles. You can choose from a few different characters, and each one is downright adorable.
The Brushies toothbrushes were created by two moms, a dentist and a child psychologist. They're made from 100% food-grade silicone and are dishwasher-safe. These toothbrushes are BPA-free and phthalate-free, and you can use them for kiddos between four weeks and four years old. Plus, they double as teethers!
But here's where things get really amazing. Since The Brushies are practically finger puppets, you might as well use them to tell stories! You can purchase The Brushies Gift Set, which comes with a storybook and FOUR character toothbrushes that should hopefully make brushing time a little more fun. Individual book and brush sets, like this The Brushies Book Set for $12 less, are also available at Chapters.
You can also buy The Brushies books, toothbrushes and sets through Amazon, and they're sometimes sold at Well.ca and Walmart. Chapters, however, has the lowest prices I've seen in Canada, and there, shipping is free when you spend at least $25. You can also pick up an order from a Chapters store for free.
