This Ride-On Suitcase is Also a Child's Bed!

If you thought the Trunki ride-on suitcases were cool, just wait until you see what these things can do. Baby brand Stokke created what's probably the most innovative luggage I've ever found – and yes, that includes the ones with smart locks. These suitcases double as ride-ons, leg rests and in-flight beds.

The JetKids BedBox is pretty much an all-in-one for parents travelling with toddlers and preschoolers. Honestly, the only thing missing is a booster seat, but I'm pretty sure your kiddo will be just fine sitting on this instead of a chair anyway – which should make your time at crowded gates a little easier, too.

Even with all those features, these things are still suitcases, so you can fill them with all the clothes, books, diapers and toys you and your child would normally pack into a carryon bag. Your child can ride or pull the bag through the airport, and then you can set up those extra features once the seatbelt sign is off.

The BedBox is intended for children between the ages of three and seven years old. So if they get tired of pulling all their things around the airport, there's even a shoulder strap so you can carry it.

Now for the (slight) downside. Like most Stokke products, these things come at a price. You can buy the BedBox through stores and websites like Well.ca, Bed Bath and Beyond and West Coast Kids, where they come in a few different colours and start at $259 each. You might want to do a little research before you plan to take one on a trip, because not all airlines (including Air Canada) allow you to use the bed feature in flight.

There's a RideBox you can buy on its own though that should breeze through security with no problems. As the name suggests, it's also a ride-on suitcase, and you can upgrade it to a BedBox at any time. Well.ca sells them for $198.98 each, and they should ship to your home or a Rexall location for free.
