I've seen a few uplighting posts on Instagram lately that say we're not stuck at home, but safe at home. While that is a more comforting perspective, I can't deny that I sometimes feel trapped within my house. I've been browsing the interwebs for activities to do, and I realized a lot of suggestions involve writing things down.
It's quite the coincidence, then, that Staples decided TODAY was the perfect time to launch a sale on Moleskin products! if you've never heard of this brand before, they make some pretty famous notebooks and writing utensils, as well as office accessories like coffee mugs and pencil cases. And now, they're up to 50% off!
During this sale, prices start at $4.79, and there are more than a hundred different things marked down. You can use these notebooks for homeschooling, journalling, completing writing prompts or drafting loved ones before you put a pen to a greeting card. They even have sketchbooks and large-rule books if you want to practice calligraphy or use this time to teach your kiddos how to print or write in cursive.
For all you high schoolers: this three-pack of Cahier Dotted Journals (each one of which has a pocket) could be useful if you run out of graph paper or want a place to sketch that still has some guidelines to follow.
And speaking of journals in general, I saw a really cool idea on Facebook the other day. Somebody suggested that kids should keep a diary, video journal or other documentation of their time in social isolation. That way, they can practice their writing, speaking or editing skills and keep an account of their experiences.
