As for the skis and snowboarding items, I love to snowboard and my husband loves to ski. Both sports can be expensive but getting good quality items now will save money in the long run because they wear better. It's hard for me to suggest what bindings to get because it really depends on your board or your skis. As for boots I can recommend a couple of brands that my husband and I have used and that are comfortable and are worth the money. For ski boots he likes Salomon and they do have a high rating. But like I said, a lot of the time it really comes down to preference.
