Heads up for the Optimum Points collectors! Next week at Shoppers Drug Mart, there will be a bonus redemption event.

For those of you not in the know, you will be able to redeem 75,000 Shoppers optimum points for $200 worth of products in-store. Note that you should spend $200 or more, as if you spend anything less than $200, it will not be credited to your account.

The event is only on Saturday the 28th of November 2009.

The flyer states that the Nintendo Wii console will be available for only $199.99, so that would be a good item to put your points towards!

So, if you have about 75k points saved up, next week is an excellent time to make us of this promotion!

I have some points to use and was wondering if I could use some of the points towards gift cards in store? I saw on one of your posts about optimising, someone said they bought HD gift cards and another guy said that you cannot and it says that in fine print. Have you ever purchased them? I'm thinking maybe it depends on the store...
