It's a new year, and that means it's time for resolutions, fresh calendars and an updated batch of goodies over at Sephora. If you've somehow missed the memo over the past few years, Sephora (along with a lot of other beauty brands and cosmetics stores) gives away treats to shoppers during their birthday months.
Sephora's presents usually blow away anything offered by the competition, and their offerings for 2020 are now visible online – and available for all you January babies. To help you decide exactly which one to add to your cart (or request at the till, if you're shopping in-person), we decided to break down all the options.
Before you can get your birthday party started, there's one thing you should probably know. The Sephora birthday gifts are only available for Beauty Insider members (at all three tiers), so you'll have to have an active account and be signed in to qualify. If you're not a member yet, you can sign up online for free.
If you're a new member or still on the first tier as a Beauty Insider, you'll have three options to choose from, while VIB and Rouge members have access to a fourth. To start, there's this Milk Makeup gift that comes with a deluxe mascara sample, a mini cheek and lip tint and a primer sample. It's the only makeup offering this year, and it might be your safest bet if you have allergies or sensitivities to strong scents.
For all you skincare aficionados, though, there's a Sol de Janeiro gift. They're the company behind that Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, which you'll receive a pretty generous sample of, along with their Coco Cabana Cream. And then there's also a haircare gift (courtesy of Briogeo) that comes with shampoo and a mask.
Finally, Rouge and VIB members can choose a fourth option: a sample-size Jo Malone London cologne in their Wood Sage and Sea Salt scent. I jumped up to the Rouge tier last month, and this is definitely the one I plan to choose, just so long as it's still in stock this July. So which one will you pick?
