There are quite a few sauces you can make with ketchup. I am going to make a cute little scrapbook style recipe book for these and keep it in the kitchen. Your guests won't even guess that you whipped these sauces up with ketchup and a few other ingredients. You can just throw the ingredients in a squeeze bottle and mix it up, or use a bowl and wisp if you prefer. So get ready to take notes, here are the sauces you can make with ketchup:
Secret Sauce
This one uses the least amount of ketchup out of the sauces I am going to tell you about it, but I have tried it before and I know it is great with french fries and other things. Here are the ingredients needed:
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown mustard
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 3 cornichons
Chipotle Lime Sauce
My guess is that the men in your life will love this sauce. I want to try it on my hamburger or something! Here are the ingredients needed to make this spicy and tangy sauce:
- 1/2 cup ketchip
- 1 can of chipotles in adobo
- 1/2 teaspoon of lime juice
Indian Spiced Sauce
This ketchup-based sauce is great if you enjoy the curry flavour. My mom makes these great home made chicken strips breaded in a curry flavour and I would love to combine this sauce with the delicious chicken. The ingredients needed are:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup sauteed onions
- 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder
Bloody Mary Sauce
No, this one is not alcoholic.. but it will taste similar to the Bloody Mary drink if you enjoy that on your night out. Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco
- 1 teaspoon horse radish
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
Mexican Sauce
I know why they call this sauce the Mexican Ketchup Sauce. It sounds hot! Here are the ingredients you will need to add a little heat to your meal:

Bar-B-Que Sauce
Ah, the classic Bar-B-Que Sauce. This sauce is great for chicken, beef and more. Here is what you will need:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- dash of hot pepper sauce
Orange Chipotle Ketchup Sauce
When you order Sweet Potato Fries and they come with that delicious mayo-chipotle sauce.... mmmm. How about this ketchup-based version? Try it out, here are the items you will need:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped chipotle chiles in adobo
- 1 teaspoon adobo sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon freshly minced garlic
