Sears has an almost amazing deal on today only on all their Big Backyard climbers. First, you'll get 30% off, second, you can use the coupon code 941612175 to get another 20% off! The Big Backyard Westwood playground was originally $1199.99, on sale for $899.99, which in itself is already a good price. Add the coupon code and bring your price down to $672! You may need a Sears card to checkout at this price, but I couldn't confirm this, as it gave me the discount, but I didn't go right through the checkout.
I was at Costco a few days ago and my son was begging me for a climber. We are moving next year, so there is no point in spending a lot of time and energy putting a climber up that we'll probably just have to leave. I really do want to get the kids a climber and this would have been fabulous for us. The one at Costco, which is always a good deal, was over $1000. I'd love to pay under $700 for a $1200 climber instead.
The Westwood play system has so much for kids to do. With two slides and three swings, multiple kids can play on this without getting in each other's way. There are also sandboxes, a large clubhouse, rock climbing wall and a chalkboard.
There are a few reviews and they mostly centre around the tediousness of putting the item together. I know that it is, as we have put a playground together so I don't think it is limited to this climber.
While I wasn't able to get you an exact price comparison, I did see sets at Toys R Us from the same brand. One like this with two slides would probably sell around $1200 - $1500, as you can see from the comparable climbers. This is a really hot deal at Sears.
Shipping is not going to be free, but your savings more than makes up for that. It will be about $70 to get to your home, which I do think is worth it, considering it is such a large item and you can just be happy you didn't have to carry it from your vehicle yourself.
