If your kid is as obsessed with Super Mario Brothers as mine is, they'll love this Ghost House building set. It is perfect for those screen-free times you have to force on them to get them to stop play Super Mario Brothers. Half-off, it is now $34.99, was $69.99.
My kids are so obsessed with Mario, Luigi and the gang, when I make them shut off the video game, I find them watching people play it on You Tube. That totally defeats the purpose, so I end up shutting that down too. When they say I'm bored, I could present them with the opportunity to use their brains for good and build this cool Mario house. And when they are done building it, I will smash it all down (or get their little brother to do it so I don't get blamed) and make them build it again and again. An evil plan is hatched.
With over 500 pieces you'll foster imaginative play, develop fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination. It will also keep them quite long enough for you to watch last night's Big Brother Canada. Once its built, there are sliding, spinning and jumping pieces so it can actually be used to play with. It recommends the minimum age as age 8, but I would let my six year old get in on this action.
Shipping is free once you've spend over $99, so take a look at the large selection of clearance toys and get something else too to save on those costs.
