Who likes a nice juicy science-fiction novel to get their teeth into? If you do, you should check this out - Suvudu is a pretty new website. They’ve just launched a “free library” where you can download select sci-fi ebooks for free!
If you want to, you can join the Suvudu email newsletter to be updated when new titles are added, or you can keep an eye on their RSS feed.
It seems that the site is giving away these novels as they are the first in the series. Hopefully you will enjoy the read, and then buy the subsequent titles.
There are loads of excellent books available to download right now! For example:
- "Lost Tribe of the Sith: Precipice" by John Jackson Miller
- "Magic Kingdom for Sale--Sold" by Terry Brooks
- "For Love of Mother Not" (A tale of Pip and Flinx) by Alan Dean Foster
- "Weapons of Choice" by John Birmingham
- "Elric, Stealer of Souls" by Michael Moorcock" (w/Forward by Alan Moore)
- "Kiss of Midnight" by Lara Adrian
- "Blood Engines" by T.A. Pratt
- "His Majesty's Dragon" by Naomi Novik
- "Settling Accounts: Return Engagements" by Harry Turtledove
- "Red Mars" by Kim Stanley Robinson
- "Assassin's Apprentice" by Robin Hobb
There are loads of really famous authors in there. I’ve read other titles by some of those guys. From the above list, I’ve only read “Magic Kingdom” which was a very good read. I think I have read Red Mars too, but can’t remember very much about it. I've joined the mailing list, so I will update this post when I receive new books.
I have a sony ebook reader, so I’m going to download the titles which I don’t have yet, and give them a read! Have you read any of the above books? Opinions? Or maybe you just hate sci-fi with a vengeance?
Thanks Catherine!
