If you are a student in Ontario, you need to get hooked up with the Rogers Student Plan. Internet plans start at $39.99 and television plans start at $14.95 per month.
As a huge chunk of Canada's population resides in Ontario, I thought this was a deal worth writing about. There are also many prominent universities in Ontario with thousands of students in need of internet. Without further ado, here are your internet plan choices.
- Student Internet 30
This plan is $39.99 per month for the first 12 months and then will cost you $79.99 per month after. Seriously, you can probably call in and get the plan extended if you are still a student. It includes 270GB of usage and has a 30 Mbps download speed and a 5 Mbps upload speed. If you need more data, then you can upgrade to unlimited for an extra $15 per month. Your cost includes a Wi-Fi modem rental.
- Student Internet 60
This internet package costs $49.99 for the first 12 months and then $83.99 per month after. It is double the speed of the package above giving 60 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. This internet includes a Wi-Fi modem rental, Shomi, and NHL Game Centre.
- Student Internet 100
This is the big boy. Pay $59.99 per month ($84.99 after the first 12 months) for unlimited usage, 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. You get a better Wi-Fi modem and some upgrades to the Internet 60.
As a bonus, you can add a TV package to any of the above Student plans. Lite TV costs $14.95 per month and gives you 50+ channels. Basic TV costs $24.95 per month and includes 190+ channels and some other premium services. Prices increase after the first 12 months but you could always ask for an extension if you are still a student. Check out the link above for more details.
You must be a college or university student in Ontario to take advantage of these prices. You will also need to provide Rogers with a valid student ID to qualify.
