When I first checked out a touchscreen monitor at a retail location several months ago, I was blown away. I didn’t think it would captivate me very much, since most smartphones on the market at this time have touchscreen capabilities. However, you don’t know just how handy a touchscreen interface on a desktop computer can be, until you use one that’s equipped with Windows 8.1. Everyday tasks become that much easier to accomplish, and it certainly attracts attention! At least that was the case when I found myself playing Fruit Ninja on a touchscreen monitor at a retail location, and a small crowd gathered behind me (most likely shaking their head at my now-rusty video game skills).
Here’s what some Newegg customers had to say about the Hanns-G HT231DPBU Black 23" Touchscreen Monitor:
Pros: Great size. I ordered 2 because of the price and I wanted 2 monitors. I got them and was almost shocked by how big they were. like they were seriously BIG! still very thin however, which I really like. very responsive, great picture. True 1080p is hard to complain about.
Cons: Why is there still D-SUB or VGA on anything? add an HDMI to this thing. On the side by the display inputs it says HDMI optional, but no port. PUT ONE IN AND GET RID OF D-SUB!!! Stand is a little flimsy, but it doesn't raise any concerns over stability.
Other Thoughts: DVI input solves some of the issues for the display inputs.
