I've been keeping a little bit of a close eye on this one, just in case Michaels chooses to shut down their events over coronavirus concerns. But if you're healthy and need a way to deal with your cabin fever, you'll still have a chance to do something crafty. Spring Maker Fest happens in stores tomorrow!
So what is Spring Maker Fest, anyway? Well, it's one of a few different courses and activity days Michaels offers throughout the year. This one is designed for "makers of all ages" and gives participants the chance to paint, learn paper crafting techniques and join in other flower-making activities. Spring Maker Fest runs on March 14 from 11 AM to 2 PM, and you can see a complete list of participating stores online.
And like I said, this is just one of the drop-in classes they offer. Because many kids are on spring break right now (or unable to go to school due to closures), they're running a Spring Make Camp every day this week until noon today. So if you still have time, you can stop in with kiddos aged three and up and pay $3 to participate.
They're also running free afternoon events for kids, and I haven't seen plans to stop those yet, either. They happen from 4 to 6 PM, and today is also the last event. These craft events are completely FREE, including supplies, and a parent or guardian must stay nearby if your kid wants to participate.
