There is a pretty great summer event schedule happening at Michaels Canada that is inexpensive and is educational as well. This summer at Michaels, you can join in on their Passport to Imagination classes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for just $2 a person.

In total, there are seven weeks for this program and each week you will have three different days that you can attend . These classes will run every single Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting this week from 10am until noon. Each class will cost just $2 a person, which is a great deal!
Each week, Michaels Canada will help your kids learn and craft on an imaginary road trip to 7 of North America’s most fascinating museums. These classes are just two hours long and are geared for children ages 5 years old to 12 years old.
Here is a look at the schedule this summer:
Week of July 5th- The Field Museum
This museum is set in Chicago in the United States and it has a collection of over 25 million natural history artifacts and specimens. Your kids will do things like fossil art, and bone impressions while they learn about this museum.
Week of July 14th- The Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium in the US features more than 10 million gallons of water and 725 species. Kids will learn about whale sharks, the world’s largest fish, and also learn about African penguins, manta rays, sea otters, beluga whales, sea turtles and coral colonies. The crafts will include things like Perler projects and album making.
Week of July 21st- Pima Air and Space Museum
This Museum exhibits 300 of the most amazing aircraft in the history of flight and over 125,000 artifacts. The PIMA Air & Space Museum houses the third largest aviation collection in the U.S. It is situated in Tuscon, Arizona and the kids will do craft projects that have to do with aviation and airplanes.
Week of July 28th- Perot Museum of Nature and Science
The Museum is in Dallas, Texas and is home to five levels of incredible exhibits and endless learning possibilities and fun. Your kids will do art projects pertaining to space.
Week of August 4th- Denver Art Museum
The Denver Art Museum is in Colorado and it has everything from sculptures to paintings to photography. The crafts this week will focus on quilting and albums.
Week of August 11th- The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology
Kids will learn about past, present and future fashion trends, accessories and textiles from real-life fashion experts. The crafts this week will include weaving and colour wheels.
Week of August 18th- Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
This museum in Quebec has 36,000 pieces of fine art including paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings, photos and more. The kids will get to do a stained glass type vase and a abstract sculpture.
