MemoryExpress Canada: Save on Kingston USB Drives & SD Cards

It's always best to have a few of these hanging around but they can get pricey. MemoryExpress Canada and Kingston Canada are making it easier to get the memory you need.

There are fifteen items on sale and they range from $6 cheapo thumb drives to $500 USB 3.0 thumb drives. Here are a few of the items:

Out of the USB drives available, I think the 32GB USB 3.0 drive is the best deal. Even if you don't have USB 3.0, it's worth it to get a USB 3.0 drive. It's futureproofing. Look at it this way. You could buy a USB 2.0 drive for $20 and save $10 now. But let's say in a year you get a new computer and it has USB 3.0. To take advantage of the improvements that USB 3.0 offers, you need a USB 3.0 device. Buying a new 32GB USB 3.0 drive will cost you another $30. So even though you saved $10 now, you end up having to spend another $30 later.

If you aren't sure if you have USB 3.0, you can figure it out very simply. Just look in your USB port. Is it blue? Yes? Then it's likely USB 3.0.

The other thing here is the Micro SD cards. They have an 8GB and a 64GB version.I put the 8GB up there because I think most people only need an 8GB card. The 64GB, however, is a really good price at only $55, a savings of $10.

Shipping is about $5 or you can pick it up for free at a store.
