There's nothing like getting money just for spending money! Do exactly that with MBNA's Smart Cash MasterCard.
Before I say anything else I want to point out that credit cards can be dangerous. It's easy to get in way over your head with credit card debt so only get a credit card if you're responsible enough to manage it.
But if you are going to get a credit card, you might as well get a cash back card. I have one and it's great. I almost never use it but I should probably start using it. I get more cash back on gas and food so even if I started using it just for that I'd probably get more. MBNA has a deal right now that lets you get 5% cash back on eligible grocery and gas purchases for the first six months. After that you get 2% on gas and groceries and 1% on everything else. You also get 1.99% interest on balance transfers and deposits for the first ten months.
I did some quick calculations and based on my average gas and grocery expenditure I could make $300 using this card! If you have multiple cars, long commutes, big families, etc., you can get even more. If you're really disciplined and you always pay off your balance before they charge you interest you can make a good chunk of money off of this thing. They send you a cheque any time your balance gets over $50.
