Tomorrow is Senior's Day and Mandarin is celebrating by offering 50% off their lunch and dinner buffets on October 1st.
I recently read an article that said that seniors get all the perks, but they are richest people in our society. Apparently all of the perks they get were put in place because they were actually the poorest at one time and of course, we don't want our seniors living in poverty. Today they say that young adults are the poorest and some people are lobbying to get the perks that seniors now get. I think we should all get the perks! But, living a life for 60+ years definitely deserves some rewards so I'm all for senior's days and so is Mandarin.
It looks like you have to be 65 or more to get the discount and have valid ID. Funny, when you are young, you hope they don't ask for ID, then at my age, you hope they do and then as you get older the cycle starts all over again!
I love Mandarin and my kids have been begging to go there lately. I definitely won't be taking them anywhere near there tomorrow as my kids are loud and that seems to annoy some seniors, especially with hearing aids.
Mandarin has their Moon Festival on right now which means that their dinner buffet also has Peking duck, butternut squash soup, sweet and sour fish and more. I really only go for the seafood. If you don't like any of that, there are over 150 items available on their buffet, so there really has to be something for everyone.
Prices for dinner on a weekday are $21.99, so seniors will get a full buffet for only $11! If you go for lunch, you'll get the buffet for only $7.50. That's awesome! Maybe its time to take your parent or grandparent out for a meal. It won't cost you much!
