I am all for finding new Canadian designers and supporting local. Recently while in Vancouver I stumbled across Madame Moje who sports stunning designs. I checked out their online store and they offer free shipping across Canada on any purchase.
I quite enjoy many of the designs of this company. Their Fall/Winter line is certainly my favourite of their two seasons so far and that is probably due to the darker colour pallet and the thicker fabrics.
For simple elegance I think this High Slit Dress is perfect for a fall or winter evening out on the town. It is a long sleeve dress with a higher neckline and is full length. Yet, the high slit up the side really gives the dress punch as does its body hugging cut. The dress is available in black, dark pink, red, or black snake and goes from size extra-small up to a large. This dress costs a fairly reasonable $180 for the sheer amount of fabric that is used and the great cut.
I have a love affair with the word tweed and it gets even better when the word pleat is found anywhere in the same sentence. so this Pleated Tweed Skirt is just the kind of garment I would like to find on my body. It is available in black, dark pink, navy, or green in the same size options as above. However, you need to check the size chart of each garment (they are included) as each garment may fit different differently. This skirt costs $180.
