During this event, you can either get a free battery with purchase of any DeWalt or Porter Cable cordless combo kit or with purchase of select Hitachi, Bosh and Kobalt tools. To make it easier for you, I have broken it down into the kind of savings you can expect to see when you get:
DeWALT

- $169 12/20V max charger radio: free $89.99 value battery

Hitachi

- $259 3-tool 18V li-ion cordless combo kit: free $79.99 value battery
Keep in mind that all of the initial prices that you see are those for the combo kit or tools in question and these are actually all on sale as well.
Given that Dewalt is widely considered as being one of the best brands in the field of repairs and construction, I searched for the very first combo kit on the list above, the Dewalt 20V max lithium ion compact drill/ driver & impact driver combo kit. Lowe's has it on sale for $249, down from the original retail price of $299. To be fair, Amazon.ca actually has it slightly cheaper for just $241.22 but it's the fact that Lowe's throws in a free battery that makes it all worth it. For anyone who frequently uses their cordless drill, an extra battery can certainly make all the difference. Heck, even for a personal project, it can make all the difference as there is nothing worse than setting out to either start or complete a project only to be stalled by a dead battery!
