I think the Lonely Planet guidebooks are really excellent. I’ve used a few for various cities on my travels over the years. A few years ago I spent 10 days in Barcelona, and the Lonely Planet guidebook was never out of my hand. It was particularly good for the restaurants, showing quality ratings, price ranges and locations. I also used a Toronto Lonely Planet guide book last year, it was very handy too.
