Spending almost all day every day at home is slowly starting to get to me. I'm an introvert, so I don't mind having time to myself, but after almost a week, I'm looking for new ways to stay entertained. Luckily, I picked up about two dozen books before my local library closed, but I have a feeling I'll burn through them soon.
And when that happens, I'll probably turn to ebooks. You can buy or rent them through a ton of different stores and services, but I want to talk specifically about Kobo today. If they're not your thing, don't worry. I'll post about more options over the coming days, so stay tuned if you're looking for a new read.
But back to Kobo. Every single day, they launch a Daily eBook Deal, where a specific book is marked WAY down for a period of 24 hours. They switch up the genre, authors and subject matter, and the deals are a complete surprise every morning – and I've seen certain ebooks for upwards of 80% off.
Today's feature is The Girl Before, which I've actually wanted to read for a little while now. It tells the stories of two women who are both in need of a fresh start, and it definitely sounds suspenseful enough to keep me "flipping" pages all evening. Even if this doesn't seem like your kind of thing, check tomorrow's deal!
To start reading, just create an account online. Once you do, you'll be able to shop all the books you want without leaving the house – or paying the full list prices for paperbacks and hardcovers. If you don't have an e-reader, Kobo has apps you can download for your phone or tablet. And there's one more perk you should know about: if you refer a friend to Kobo (and they purchase something), you can score up to $15 off!
