Here is a great little pair of speakers to hook up in your living room, basement or backyard. The selection of Bluetooth speakers that sit on a shelf is limited and these seem like a great option in both sound quality and style. If you are looking to eliminate the wires this set may be a good choice for you.

These speakers also come in a variety of colours and with this sale you have a choice between a white matte or a grey matte colour.  The ad also suggests these speakers also hook up as a smaller pair of TV or computer speakers.

Here are a few features the speakers offer.

  • Bluetooth 4.0 technology Stream from any Bluetooth enabled devices
  • Inputs include: 2x Gold Plated Post Connectors, 1x Bluetooth Connector, 1x RCA connector, 1x 3.5mm stereo mini-jack, and 2x Toslink Optical connectors
  • 1 Sub-Woofer output
  • 2 USB charging outputs
  • 30 Watts RMS per channel (60 Watts Total)
  • Remote

I looked all over for reviews of these speakers in Canada. Though many places have these speakers, no one seems to want to talk about them. I went over the border and checked out US Amazon. Most of the reviewers seem happy with their purchase and gave a pretty good review. Most of the reviews for this brand overall were positive.  These speakers are even more expensive at the US branch of Amazon at $319.

One reviewer in particular seemed to fully evaluate the quality before giving a good review.

Kanto has produced the Jerry Rice of speakers, regardless of price. I have 3 pairs now. 2 YU3's and 1 YUMI.  Lots of features listed in the ads. All accurate. What the ads can't inform in the sound quality. They are amazing. Many reviewers caution they are not audiphiles. I am. $10k speakers, $15K processor, etc. These little guys are not a come down. I do not know how they did it. They sound like big expensive speakers, more volume without distortion in a small package for a minuscule price. Bluetooth sound is also, surprisingly, as good as analogue and digital.

If you try to buy these same speakers elsewhere, you'll pay a ton more.

  • $270 @ Amazon- In black only
  • $270 @ NCIX
  • $299 @ Sears
  • $339 @ Shop.ca
  • $339 @ NewEgg – In green or yellow only

These speakers seem like a great little set for both the enthusiast and someone who just wants a better quality sound in their living room.  To get the extra $20 off promo code you’ll need to act before the December 20th expiry. If you miss the deadline, you can still get them for $180 before December 23rd if they don’t sell out.

(Expiry: 20th December 2014)
