Yes, I know the stock of the Nintendo Wii console hasn’t been quite as bad as it was in the past, but it’s still not exactly what I would call plentiful.
If you’re trying to find a Nintendo Wii system, ConsoleWatch might be a good website to add to your bookmarks. Consolewatch.com is a “wii finder” site - they monitor a few of the big Canadian stores for online stock of the Wii game system. When stock appears, they send out an email to notify you of the availability.
Alternatively, if you have their web page open, it refreshes every minute, and will make a chime noise when there is a Wii in stock. The Canadian stores that it scrapes:
It doesn’t just check the Wii games console, it also checks for the Xbox 360Elite, the PS3 60GB, but these consoles do not have quite the same supply and demand curves as the Wii!
Another thing – Consolewatch is also a stock tracker for some of the much sought-after Wii accessories and Wii games, such as the Wii Fit or Rock Band. The Wii Fit Balance Board stock has been pretty dismal – they’re very hard to get!! I managed to get one last month, courtesy of consolewatch.
I must say, I’m really enjoying the Wii Fit game. I know it’s not going to make me super-fit or anything, but it really seems to be helping with toning up my body, as I’m doing the yoga exercises and the muscle workouts. When I first started using it, I was aching in all the right places, so it must be doing me some good!!
Although, it's not the same kind of workout you'd get if you went to the gym, it's nowhere near as strenuous as that. (Even if I am puffing and panting after 6 minutes of pretend hula-hooping!)
Eden over at bargainista (a blog I regularly read) reviewed the wii fit recently. She wasn't "wowed" by it, but seemed to enjoy it. :)
When Chris Kohler over at wired.com heard that the purpose of the Wii Fitis to make you aware of your body, he said, “Mission accomplished, because I am now fully aware that all of it hurts.” This is so true! I’ve been riddled with aches and pains since I’ve started using it. I think that just means I’m getting fitter though! But it’s definitely not a cure for gamer ass-girth!
Or is the wii fit hurting my self esteem by repeatedly calling me overweight? It might… it might… I’m off for a twix sandwich. See ya later!
