Home Depot Free Workshops for July

Tomorrow marks the first day of the month of July and Home Depot has yet again outdone themselves and they have some great free July workshops this month.  Each of the workshops will be between 1-2 hours in length and you can sign up for free to have fun and learn at the same time.  These free workshops do fill up fast so it is better to sign up sooner rather than later.

This month, there are four different workshops to check out that are all absolutely free.  Three of them are on the weekends but one one of them is on a Wednesday night.  This is perfect for families like mine that usually head out camping on the weekends in the summer.  You can still do a workshop midweek for free so you won’t miss out.

Build a Bug House July 12th

• If you have a child ages 4-12 you can accompany your child to the fun workshop, that will help kids learn how to build a bughouse using a hammer and glue.  It starts at 10am and it will be 2 hours long.  Not only are all the supplies free, your child will be able to bring home their bughouse to use this summer.

Decorative Paint Styles July 16th

• This workshop is the only one this month that is on a weeknight and starts at 7pm.  It will last just one hour and it is necessary for any DIY person or homeowner.  It will recall basic safety practices for preparing and painting an interior space, you will learn how to prepare walls and other interior surfaces for paint and you will also learn different decorative paint styles.

Paint Touch-Up and Techniques July 19th

• This 1 hour workshop that starts at 10am will teach you a variety of useful information to do with paint touch-ups and techniques.  You will learn how to paint ceilings, walls, and trim, you will learn how to prepare walls and other interior surfaces for paint, and many more tips and tricks.

Install Moulding and Trim July 27th

• This workshop will start at 1p and will run for 1 hour long.  During this hour, you will learn how to accurately measure for moulding and trim, you will learn the benefits of no-mitre and no-cope moulding and you will learn the reasons that moulding and trim are added to room's decor.  It is the perfect workshop for anyone wanting to update their house on a budget.
