Summer has pretty much come to an end and the kids are going back to school. That also means that after school activities are starting up, and there will be less time to do things as a family due to other activities. Home Depot realizes this and instead of cutting out all of their free monthly workshops for the year, they have just cut back.
For the month of September, they will be offering just one free workshop for families, but it is a good one. Sign up for free to take this workshop to learn how to build a bird house.
When and Who is this workshop for?
This workshop will be held on Saturday September 13th at 10am only. It will be available for all kids ages four years old to 12 years old, will be approximately two hours in length, and is a very fun and absolutely free activity to do. One parent must accompany the child to the workshop. Since there is only one in the month of September when they normally host about four of them, I suspect it will fill up fast. Click on the link above and pre-register your spot for your child to make sure you both get a spot to do this fun family activity. Since it is for a parent and child, it is a very good bonding experience.
What is the free Workshop?
In this free workshop, you will learn how to build a bird house for your yard. Children will be able to use a hammer and some glue to build their very own birdhouse absolutely free. All of the supplies will be ready and waiting for you, so you don't need to bring anything. The example on the picture above is decorated with The Wizard of Oz which is kind of fun, but your child will be able to personalize their birdhouse with their own flare and style.
As I mentioned above, these workshops are very popular because not only are they free, they are a lot of fun as well. It is best to sign up early to ensure you get your spot. If the location nearest you is already full, you can always choose another one.
