College and university campuses across Canada and the United States are cancelling classes and shutting down dorms in an effort to prevent further spread of the new coronavirus. But for students who live on campus or attend a school that's far from home, that comes with an entirely new set of challenges.
Hertz is doing its part to help you get home quickly and safely. While air travel is restricted, you might still be able to drive back to your hometown. For the next few months, Hertz is waiving their Young Renter fee! That means licensed drivers between the ages of 18 to 24 won't have to pay extra to rent a car.
No promo code or student ID is necessary to qualify, so even people who aren't students can take advantage of this offer and get wherever they need to go. Even if you only need a vehicle to pick up groceries or travel to doctor's appointments, this should help ensure you don't need to rely on public transit or ride sharing.
This deal is only valid in the US and Canada on car rentals reserved in advance, so make sure you book soon before they're all gone. They will waive the Young Renter fee from now until May 31, 2020.
