As well as being able to rent DVDs from the likes of Zip.ca, did you know that there are online companies that specialize in video game rentals?Once such website is Game Access Canada. If you’d like to give it a try, you might be interested to hear that they do a free 10 day trial!!
You can sign up now, but just make sure you have a read of the games rental terms and conditions. Even though this is a free trial, you still have to enter your credit card details in case you decide to continue on with the video games rentals after the 10 day period.
If you return your games within the 10 days though, you won’t be charged a cent. If you are continuing your subscription, game rental packages start at $9.98 per month. There is free shipping too, so you don’t need to worry about costs to receive or return the viedo games.
I think games rental is a really good idea. It gives you the chance to try out some games, and if you really like them, just go out and buy them for keeps. Alternatively, if you try a video game and realise that you hate it, then you know that it’s one you never want to purchase.
Just one major drawback I’ve noticed on the site – they rent out a load of video games for the major consoles – but not for the PC! I’m really a PC Gamer at heart, so the service wouldn’t be of much use to me. I wonder if they will add PC games in the future.
I haven’t tried GamesAccess.ca yet – if you give it a try, I’d be really interested to hear your opinions.
