Who wants to go to the movies for free? This girl!
I spent the morning searching the aisles at my local grocery store to stock up on specially marked boxes of General Mills products. I grabbed boxes of cereal and some snack items for the kids. Specially marked boxes included cereals such as Oatmeal Crisp, Multi Grain Cheerios and Lucky Charms and other items like Hamburger Helper and Fruit By the Foot fruit snacks.
The boxes contain PIN codes printed on the inside which can be redeemed online for movie tickets to Cineplex theatres. Some boxes contain PINs for free adult tickets while others are marked for free children's passes.
There are some restrictions. Each PIN is valid for either a free admission or buy one get one free (B1G1) depending on which month it is redeemed. A free admission is available if the PIN is used in November, in October or January, the PIN is good only for B1G1.
Also, free tickets are only valid from Sunday to Thursday and if you want to watch 3D , IMAX or other specialty showings you will have to pay the difference in the ticket price. Finally, if you buy the specially marked snack items, you will need to purchase two to exchange for one free movie ticket.
But, a free mom's night out with Ryan Gosling! What could be better than that? (Sorry hun!)
