I honestly don't buy gifts often, but I like to splurge on things that are a little more personal whenever I do. And while I don't have a specific occasion coming up, I'm definitely going to keep this idea in my back pocket. When I was on the Etsy website a few days ago, I spotted something pretty incredible: custom clutches.
These leather bags are all made by a California-based Etsy seller that specializes in high-quality gifts from the heart. These clutches, wristlets and handbags come in a few different styles and colours, but they all share one thing in common: you can arrange to have a message included right in the purse's lining!
Etsy's blog names them a "5-Star Buy" and says these are perfect for weddings, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, retirements or other special occasions that call "for a one-of-a-kind present that shows how much you care." As this blogger writes: "Ultra-elegant on the outside, this luxe leather handbag contains a super-sweet surprise on the inside: a custom cotton lining inscribed with a heartfelt note or favourite quote."
Prices for these obviously vary (based on things like the length of your message and the bag you choose), and you can even arrange to have text printed in your own handwriting. I personally like the Nelly Clutch best, because I think I would get the most use out of it. In beige with a strap, it's $349.70.
