At the beginning of May, many of our Bargainmoose readers were pleased with an Estée Lauder Harper Bazaar's Gift With Purchase that Estée Lauder Canada was offering.
Estée Lauder has once again outdone themselves, with this special (new) Harper's Bazaar Gift With Purchase, this time, being sold at Hudson's Bay. With any $50 purchase you will receive a seven piece set that includes:
- Take It Away Makeup Remover, 30ml
- Advanced Night Repair, 7ml
- Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara in Black
- Pure Color Lipstick in Scarlet Red
- Two Travel Size Bottles
- Iconic Harper's Bazaar designer tote
This free (gift with $50 purchase) kit is perfect to use during your summer travels this summer. You are able to select the type of (travel sized, 15 ml) moisturizer you want in the set. You may choose from 3 varieties, depending on your skin care needs. You may also select a Pure Colour Envy Lipstick shade, between two different ones - do you want a bright, true red called 'Scarlet Siren' or a more rose toned but vivid shade called 'Candy'?
I have been very pleased with the quality of the Estee Lauder line. Their mascara is one of the items that really makes me want to purchase this set. It is a great volumizing mascara that doesn't clump, and if you want it thicker, you can easily add layers to it until it's just right!
So then, if you are thinking like a Bargainmooser, you are probably wondering what you can purchase for $50 that won't go far over, so you can receive the free gift with purchase. I have two recommendations for you, and each is selling for $55. You may then select the free gift (don't forget to select which of the three moisturizers, and which of the lipsticks you prefer) AND free shipping, (for spending over $49 on cosmetics at Hudson's Bay!)
My first choice (because it is the one I will personally be purchasing to receive my free gift) is the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Eyeshadow Palette. There are 6 shades of eye shadow in there, and I know it's a high quality, long wearing one that doesn't crease, because I have a collection of Estée Lauder eye shadow already. These colours in this palette go well together, and the stand-out turquoise shade can really make your eyes 'pop.' You could apply that shade on the outer 1/3 corner of the eye lid, and slightly into around half of the crease as well, angling it thinner as it gets to almost the centre point of your eyelid, then blending with a brush dipped in a lighter shade to soften it. (I worked as a beauty consultant for a number of years, so this is why I love recommending what to do with the shades!) The turquoise would also be excellent to dip an eye shadow brush into it and apply it directly under the lashline (making sure not to go too close in to the corner of your eye or it can make your eye look smaller.) Better yet, use it like an eyeliner over top of a soft muted charcoal eyeliner to give your total look some brightness, and for better staying power.
My second choice is this Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Multi-Palette. As you know, contouring is such a big thing right now, and this kit would be very easy to use. The blush shade looks neutral, and it appears that it will go with everything, even if you have a hint of a tan if you forget to put your sunscreen on. It is very nice to use for illuminating cheekbones as well, with the lightest shade. Many women use a bronzer along their décolleté. (When do we ever get a chance to use a word like that? I just had to add it in here!)
Shipping is free with any cosmetics purchase over $49, and the kit is free with a purchase of over $50.
