This did not work. I downloaded the app and tried to purchase a kindle book for $1.99 and nowhere did an $8 credit appear.

  Hi Stephanie! This offer is for first time users only. I promptly received an email from Amazon stating that I had an $8 credit to use before January 10th. It was in my junk folder though, so be sure to check there!

Did not work for me neither. I guess it is for usa only, like the apps of the day where Canada is excluded from the offer since last summer...

  Hi Alexcantin! If you are a first time user, then this should work for you. I have had no issue and I am in Canada. You should have received an email saying you received an $8 credit.

Worked for me today. I think its for 1st time users, I downloaded the kindle app to my Ipad and then signed in to my Amazon.ca account.Bought a $14,99 book and Amazon took off the $8.00 credit.Amazon even sent me an e-mail that I had a $8.00 credit.
