We have seen several Visa Checkout promotions already, including the Running Room, Staples, and Cineplex (which expires today). Clearly Contacts Canada has jumped on board by offering $10 off your purchase when you pay with Visa Checkout (and a Visa card). No minimum purchase is required from what I can see.
I checked the fine print but could not find a minimum purchase value - so consider this $10 off $10+ if you want. Using Visa Checkout is simple. First, select the product you want to purchase. If you are buying glasses, then you will need your prescription and your pupillary distance (PD), which is often not on your prescription. The distance between the centers of the pupils in each eye is hard to measure yourself or even for a friend. Like Mooser Rodney suggestions, get it professionally done even if it costs you a few dollars. Armed with this information, pick out the glasses you want, input your prescription information, customize your lenses, and then add them to your cart.
When checking out you will want to:
- Choose Visa Checkout as your checkout option
- Sign up via the ‘create account’ button if you have not already
- Complete your purchase (pay with a Visa card)
Now, there is a bit of fine print you will want to know about. The offer does not expire for nearly five days, but there are an allowable number of redemptions. Once exceeded, the discount will not apply. Until then, the discount automatically applies at checkout. The discount applies to items only and does not cover taxes or shipping charges. Shipping charges only count on contacts as all glasses and sunglasses now ship free of charge.
There is a limit of one discount per checkout. I am not sure if the same account can use this discount more than once.
Clearly Contacts sells glasses starting at just $49 and sunglasses starting at $49 as well. For example, the Skechers SK4011 Navy Grey 72 is a unisex set of sunglasses (good for boys and girls) that only costs $49. With the Visa Checkout offer, you will only pay $39 with free shipping. Even if you do not need prescription sunglasses, you can still order sunglasses from Clearly Contacts.
